This blog is a product spawned from the pure joy of all things metal (however un-trve that may sound). I spend a lot of time rummaging through review sites trying to find true gems, and almost as much time trying to enforce them on my friends. Now it’s time to have a more detailed approach.

I do not claim full originality here. I don’t have the time or resources to search for new metal, but instead rely on other sites to do the primary digging for me. My main wells of music are, in order:

Due to the shear amount of music out there I will not spend time writing about music I don’t enjoy. All the albums, EPs, songs etc covered here are ones that I enjoy enough to be motivated to sit down and write about.

You will find no numeric ratings here. That is just a dumb way to catalog art. If you want a summary of my opinion please refer to the last paragraph, in which I try to give a brief summary. Or just go out and have a listen for yourself and leave a comment.
